POWERPLAY: Tracey Thorn – Why Does The Wind (Andre Lodemann Remix) (Buzzin Fly) Combination of blue voice of Tracy Thorn, wonderful lyrics and hypnotic grooves of Andre Lodemann is making absolutely winning combination. This is making after hours of our Summer parties. |
POWERPLAY: Koen Groeneveld – Air Breaks (Original Club Mix) (Toolroom) Koen Groenevels is fast rising house music producer out of Holland. His "air Breaks" track is opening the recent Toolroom compilation and showed a good result in beatport.com web-store. |
POWERPLAY: Fatboy Slim vs Herve – Machines Can Do The Work (Original Mix) (Skint) If the future of dance music could have been composed in one particluar piece of music today then it could only be the work of Fatboy Slim and Herve "Machines Can Do The Work". Futursim in spoken words and in music for sure. Massive. |
POWERPLAY: Marek Hemmann feat. Fabian Reichelt – Left (Freude Am Tanzen) Last Autumns Marek Hemmann has released his debut album entitled "In Between" at his Freude Am Tanzen inprint despite his career spans during two decades already. His first passion in music was acoustic guitar, this has impressed his style of producting and creating music: less technics and a lot of minimal natural sounds, including strings as we hear them here. |
POWERPLAY: Evil Nine – Ultimo (Ultimo EP) (For Lovers) This release, titled “The Ultimo EP” is a testament to the exciting new musical direction that the guys have been exploring of late. Their unique sound has been described as “90s house, Detroit techno, Italo, UK garage, Disco and Chicago house cliches and just good fun”. |
POWERPLAY: El Prevost feat. D.Ham – Do You Remember (KiNK Remix) (Elevation) We missed this tune somehow when it reached our promo box in April last year, but it's never too late for good music though. This is house music at it's best and remix courtesy of our remixer of the moment KiNK. |

POWERPLAY: Paul Rogers & Pete Tong – Get It (Original Club Mix) (What Ep) (Toolroom) This is third collaboration of mighty Pete Tong with Londoner Paul Rogers. They worked together on Tong's TV theme "Inca Trail", on soundtrack for "Harry Brown" and finally spawned three tracker entitled "What?" on Toolroom Records. "Get It" from this EP reminds us the best examples of groovy house music from the late 1990's, which sounds very modern indeed. |
POWERPLAY: Craft B. feat. Veronique – Climbing (Original Mix) (Amber Muse) This has been a secret weapon from Bogdan's record box for the past year ad a half since the original instrumental was produced in Craft B studio. Last year we were finding a proper vocalist for this uplifting piano groover and found Veronique from Detroit, who's vocal/lyrical skills were honed with Detroit House Music legends Aaron-Carl (Wallshaker Music), Derwin Hall (UR) and Delano Smith (Mix Mode Recordings). This is already supported by big guns like Grant Nelson and others. |
