Matthias Vogt is best known as one half of the Motorcitysoul duo, alongside Christian Rindermann aka C-Rock. MOVER & SHAKER: Justin Stride – Deeptrix (Deftonez EP) (Max Trax)
Deli G from the UK suggested this track to Max Trax in the USA, he said, that he's got some slammin' tracks for the label, and that is absolutely true. This is one of three cuts from Deftonez EP produced by Justin Stride from Wales. He didn't release much under his real name, but for house music fans could be known for his work in Southern Divide project along with Phil Evans & Deli-G himself. Now it's time for Stride to start producing solo, and that's a brilliant start.

MOVER & SHAKER: Frankie Knuckles & The Shapeshifters – The Ones I Love (Main Mix) (Nocturnal Grooves)
To put it simply, Frankie Knuckles is the Godfather of House. ‘Your Love’, ‘Baby Wants To Ride’, ‘The Whistle Song’, ‘This Time’, ‘Where Love Lives’, ‘Tears’ and, more recently his much acclaimed remix of Hercules & Love Affair’s ‘Blind’ are demonstrations of exactly why Mr Knuckles has, without choice, been awarded this title. This is his first production that is not a remix in a seriously long time and – teaming up with The Shapeshifters and the vocal skills of Jenna G – the finished product is nothing short of brilliant. The mould continues unbroken.

MOVER & SHAKER: Andre Crom & Luca Doobie – Attica (Makam Remix) (Freerange)
Attica is a jazzy piano led houser with a nod to the 90's combined with a raw Berlin approach that keeps it just the right side of cheesy. Expect grins all round on the dancefloor when you drop this! The remix comes courtesy of Makham - a Dutch producer who altough still a relative newcomer deserves to be a household name before long. His mix is in equal parts deep, sexy and unsullied.

POWERPLAY: Electricano – Babarabatiri (White Label)
When I heard this theme in 2001 as Todd Terry's projects Gypsymen "Babarabatiri" track I wasn't touched by the record from the very beginning, but after few months of listening to it, I understood this is just stunning. It was written by Antas Daly and recorded by Beny More' in 1982 as original Latin production. Electricano from Latvia two weeks ago sent this to me and I played it at different parties – people love this tune.
