POWERPLAY: Moussa Clarke & John Ashby – And The Beat Goes On (Oven Ready) That's a remake of classic The Whispers song "And The Beat Goes On" recorded in 1980. This original disco groover was used not once in houe music since then. Moussa Clarke fro mBristol and John Ashby formerly from USA, now living in Barcelona joined forces to revive this song again and to make a modern house production. |
POWERPLAY: Gorillaz – Stylo (Alex Metric Remix) (Virgin) Our absolute March favorite in these studios, Alex Metric 80's and italo disco infused mix of new Gorillaz single. |
MOVER & SHAKER: Omar – Lay It Down (Andre Lodemann Remix) (Peppermint Jam) Some time ago Henrik Schwarz' remix of Omar's "Felling You" were flowing around and a lot of music lovers wanted this mix as badly in their collections as they even made crappy unmastered bootlegs, cut from lousy mp3s. Finally Peppermint Jam in Germany made this project a reality and presenting massive and definite Omar remix package. On EP there are 4 tracks, mentioned above "Feeling You", "Your Mess", "Stlyin" and the one we choose as mover & shaker in the show is "Lay It Down". This has been beautifully reworked by André Lodemann with smooth pads and discoid sample stabs, smooth and extremely touchin.

POWERPLAY: Pat Legato – Time Is Runnin Out (MОS) Pat Legato made his debute as producer only this year - in the past he was mostly remixings. His first remix work was released in 1997 on Italian mystic record label Lemon Records played a lot by legendary Danny Rampling. "Time Is Running Out" is produced by Pat Legato for new Ministry of Sound compilation. This sound very funky and very late-1990s like. |
